Ceiling

The ceiling, an interior surface, covers the upper limit of a room. Typically, it’s not considered to be a part of a buildings structure, rather it is simply a finished surface beneath the roof structure or the underside of the next floor above. Although most are plain and functional, ceilings can also be ornate and many feature gorgeous decorations. There are many fine examples of frescoes and artwork on ceilings especially in religious buildings.
